This Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the requirements for Heat Treating Accreditation by the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP). These requirements may be supplemented by additional requirements specified by the NADCAP Heat Treating Task Group. Using the audit checklist (AC7102) will ensure that accredited heat treat suppliers meet all of the requirements in this standard and all applicable supplementary standards. All instructions, procedures, tests and inspection records, etc., referenced herein shall be in writing; distribution of instructions and procedures (including all revisions) shall be recorded and controlled. The NADCAP Heat Treating Task Group recognizes SAE AS7004, SAE AS7106, and SAE AS7107 as equivalent to the systems questions of this document as noted in the NADCAP Auditor Handbook.

This Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the requirements for manufacturers of Fasteners to be accredited by the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP). NADCAP accreditation is granted in accordance with SAE AS7003 after demonstrating compliance with the requirements herein. These requirements may be supplemented by additional requirements specified by NADCAP Fastener Manufacturing Task Group. Using the corrsponding Audit Criteria checklists (PRI ACs) will ensure that accredited Fastener Manufacturing suppliers meet all of the requirements in this standard and all applicable supplementary standards.

This Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the requirements for manufacture of Elastomer Seals to be accredited by the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP). NADCAP accreditation is granted in accordance with SAE AS7003 after demonstration of compliance with the requirements herein. The requirements may be supplemented by additional requirements specified by the NADCAP Elastomer Seals Task Group. Using the corresponding Audit Criteria (PRI Acs) will ensure that accredited Elastomer Seals suppliers meet all of the requirements in this standard and all applicable supplementary standards. The purpose of this audit program is to assess a supplier's ability to consistently provide a product or service that conforms to the technical specifications and customer requirements. The corresponding audit criteria are also structured to obtain information relevant to management practices and processes that directly or indirectly affect the product or service.

When customer requirements differ from those specified herein, the customer requirements shall take precedence.
